This Mouse Angiopoietin 2 ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of mouse Angiopoietin-2 in cell culture supernates, cell lysates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This mouse Angiopoietin-2 ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for Angiopoietin-2 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(CHO, M1-F496) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for Angiopoietin-2 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse Angiopoietin-2 amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information: The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from rat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: Angiopoietin-2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ANGPT2 gene. Angiopoietins are members of the vascular endothelial growth factor family and the only known growth factors largely specific for vascular endothelium. ANGPT2 is a naturally occurring antagonist of angiopoietin-1 that competes for binding to the TIE2 receptor and blocks ANGPT1-induced TIE2 autophosphorylation during vasculogenesis. Its expression occurs at sites of vascular remodelling: dorsal aorta and major aortic branches, ovary, placenta and uterus.; Immunogen sequence: 369
